Everything you need to know about the OKCL Internship Programme.
Any undergraduate or postgraduate student currently enrolled in a recognised university or college in Odisha is eligible to apply. This includes students pursuing BCA, BCom, BBA, BTech, BSc, BA, MCA, MBA and other UG/PG programmes. You must have a valid university enrollment number to register on the portal.
The internship has a minimum duration of 120 hours, which must be completed at a registered OKCL Authorised Learning Centre (ALC) near you. With 800+ centres spread across 30+ districts, you can find a convenient location in both urban and rural areas of Odisha.
OKCL offers 15+ skill domains to match different academic backgrounds and career goals. Popular choices include Python Programming, Advanced Excel, Cyber Security, Web Development, DTP & Graphic Design, Tally & Accounting, and many more. Each domain is mapped to relevant career roles and academic streams.
The online registration process at internship.okcl.org is free. However, nominal centre-level charges may apply at the ALC for learning resources and facilities. Please check with your chosen Authorised Learning Centre for their specific fee structure before enrolling.
The OKCL Internship is aligned with NEP 2020 norms, which recommends structured internship as part of experiential learning. Many universities in Odisha recognise this internship for fulfilling academic credit requirements. We recommend checking with your college or university to confirm the credit recognition policy applicable to your programme.
Upon successful completion of all 120 hours, submission of your internship diary, and feedback on the portal, your Internship Completion Certificate is auto-generated by the official OKCL system. The certificate includes your enrollment number, university registration number, domain, duration, and a verifiable digital signature. You can verify it anytime at internship.okcl.org.
The OKCL Structured Internship Programme is in-person at an Authorised Learning Centre. This is intentional — the programme ensures supervised, task-based learning in a real workplace environment, which is a core requirement of NEP 2020's experiential learning framework. Physical attendance is mandatory for documentation, monitoring, and verification purposes.
